One of the simplest ways, and the most logical if you have forgotten your password. WordPress gives you the opportunity to recover it. Only on the initial WordPress administration screen (https://domain.com/wp-admin), click on “Lost your password?”
On the next screen you just have to enter your username or email address and a link will be sent to your email to change the password.
Change Your Password In The Dashboard
If you are logged in, but you want to change your password, either because it seems weak to you, or because you already have a few months and want to make it harder for hackers, you can change your password on the dashboard.
The first step will be to go to the menu Users → Your Profile.
Now it’s as simple as changing your password, once done, click on the “Update Profile” button.
As general measures, we recommend whenever you want to change your password:
- Change the password every few months.
- Mix capital letters and numbers.
